About Breakout

Breakout puts you in control of a paddle at the bottom of the screen, tasked with keeping a bouncing ball in play while it smashes through a wall of bricks above. Every brick the ball touches disappears and adds to your score, and the ball's angle changes depending on where it hits your paddle, giving you real control over where it goes next. There's no time limit, just one simple condition for failure: let the ball fall past your paddle and the run is over. Clearing the whole wall takes a mix of quick reflexes and a bit of aim.

How to Play

• Use the Left and Right arrow keys to slide the paddle across the bottom.
• Keep the ball bouncing by intercepting it with your paddle.
• Each brick the ball hits is destroyed and adds 10 points to your score.
• The ball bounces off walls and off your paddle at an angle you influence.
• Missing the ball once lets it fall past the paddle and ends the run.

Tip: Hitting the ball with the edge of the paddle sends it off at a sharper angle — useful for reaching bricks tucked into the corners.
