Snake is one of the most recognisable arcade games ever made, and this browser version keeps the classic formula intact. Guide your snake around the grid with the arrow keys, eat the food that appears, and watch your snake grow a little longer with every bite. The challenge builds naturally: a longer snake means less open space and a much higher chance of running into your own tail. It's an easy game to pick up in seconds but genuinely difficult to master once your snake starts filling the board.

How to Play

• Use the arrow keys to choose the direction your snake moves.
• Guide the snake head onto the red food square to eat it.
• Each piece of food adds 10 points and makes your snake one segment longer.
• Avoid the outer walls and avoid crossing your own body.
• The run ends the moment the snake hits a wall or itself — restart to try for a longer snake.

Tip: Plan two or three moves ahead, not just the next one. Hugging the outer edge of the grid early on keeps more open space free for later, when your snake is much longer.
